Magdy Nofal is an eye surgeon in Torbay general Hospital, Devon, UK. He was born in Egypt, and graduated in medicine in Cairo University, in 1975 (MB ChB). He has been working in the UK since 1980. He passed his FRCS Diploma examination in 1983, from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, and was also awarded the fellowship of the College of Ophthalmologists of the UK in 1990. He spent some time working in Saudi Arabia.
The authors main interest in Ophthalmology is anterior segment, and lacrimal surgery. He is also the co-author of the book "An update in topics in Ophthalmology" with Mr. Fathi El-Sayyad, from Cairo, Egypt. This book has a similar idea as this electronic book. It is, however, renewed every year. The book is distributed to ophthalmologists in Egypt for a very small price. A copy of this book can be obtained by writing to the author
